Game Update #14 - Hallow's Rest: Halloween 2026, Extreme Slayer, The Great Reset + MORE!

Welcome to the largest single update CryptX has ever released! This release lands in two major parts: a massive Halloween 2026 Event featuring spooky world bosses, pumpkin hunts, and a brand new best-in-slot Halloween set, coupled with The Great Reset—a total overhaul of our economy, gear progression ladder, and game performance.
Additionally, we are proud to introduce a brand new 27th skill: Extreme Slayer, paired with an entire system of Extreme Prayers and full support for the 117HD Renderer!
🎃 Hallow's Rest — Halloween 2026 Event
Jack has arrived at ::home along with a haunted graveyard! Everything in this event revolves around collecting Halloween Sweets to forge the new best-in-slot gear set.
Jack, The Graveyard & The Evil Spoon
Speak with Jack at home to enter your own personal instanced graveyard containing 18 Skeletons (no kill-stealing or competition!). Skeletons drop Jack's Candy (1–3 per kill).
The Pumpkin Hunt (Global Event)
Replacing the old Relic Rush, the Pumpkin Hunt spawns pumpkins across the world every 30 minutes (every 10 minutes during Rush Hour). Spawns scale dynamically: 5 pumpkins per online player (capped at 75 max).

The Flying Pumpkin Pet
Dropping at a 1/200 rate from the Pumpkin Hunt, this pet is capped at one per account. While active, it floats behind you and doubles all loot received from picking pumpkins!
Headless Horseman (Global Boss)
Located at the global boss building at home with 20 Trillion HP, the Headless Horseman is your fastest route to securing Halloween Set drops:

Skeletal Horror Instance
Use a Halloween Instance Ticket to access a private arena in Mort'ton. Each ticket awards 25 Kills against 4 fast-respawning Skeletal Horrors.

The Ancient Dungeon
Accessible via the Evil Spoon, this dungeon holds 8 Ancient Zombies that drop Halloween Sweets and offer a 1/1,000 chance for Instance Tickets, allowing you to seamlessly loop dungeon and instance runs.
Halloween Mystery Boxes
A brand-new box line sitting above Ultimatum Tier. These have replaced Ultimatum boxes across all stores, chests, and global rewards:

☠ Extreme Slayer — Skill #27
Extreme Slayer is a high-difficulty modifier applied directly to standard Slayer tasks. It introduces a dedicated skill line, custom XP scaling, and a level cap of 100,000.
The Slayer Talisman
Once you reach 1,000 total completed regular tasks, any regular task completed has a 1/25 chance to drop a Slayer Talisman.
How To Run Extreme Tasks
Obtain any Slayer task, open ::instance, select your assigned boss, and select the Extreme Slayer option.
Extreme Crates & Scrolls
Completing an Extreme Task has a 1/10 chance to drop an Extreme Crate, containing stacks of Extreme Tickets (~50 per crate) or a rare 1/299 scroll unlock for the Extreme Prayer book!
🙏 Extreme Prayers
A brand-new prayer book containing 9 unlockable prayers, featuring a custom quick-prayer menu and orb interface. Unlocks are purchased using Extreme Slayer Points by right-clicking any Slayer Master and selecting Extreme-Rewards.

🔥 117HD Renderer Integration
The CryptX client now natively supports the 117HD Renderer and RuneLite plugin suite! Experience dynamic lighting, real-time visual shadows, enhanced environmental textures, Ground Markers, and smooth water effects.
- Expanded View Distance: Increased render distance from 12 tiles to 50 tiles!
- Fixed Shading: Solved visual wall shading cutoffs and texture tearing.
- Global Boss Arena: Rendered high-contrast floor patterns without blur.
- Engine Fixes: Ported key depth-buffer and particle stability fixes.
⚖ The Great Reset
We have condensed years of bloated, unused content into a clean, streamlined endgame experience.
Gear Progression Streamlined (11 Tiers)
Item upgrading has been reduced from 21 cluttered tiers down to 11 meaningful tiers.
- Supreme Set is now the baseline Entry Tier (Tier 1).
- Halloween Set represents the top pinnacle (Tier 11).
- Stat bonuses scale smoothly from 1,250 to 300,000,000.
- Damage Boost Stat Removed: Flat percentage damage boost was removed from all items to fix stat flattening.
- Pet Rework: Standardized into a clean 19-step ladder ranging from (+10% Drop / +5% Double / +10% Dmg) up to (+150% Drop / +75% Double / +250% Dmg).
- Item Cleanup: Removed 206 obsolete items and 41 dead cosmetic recipes from
::items.
Boss Health Re-balance
Global and variable boss HP has been reduced by 80% across the board (including Godly Warrior, VIP Dragon, Cloud, Elder Wizard, and Slayer Golems) to respect player time.
Economy & Currency Rebalance
We are making key adjustments to our currency system to clean up inflated account values and simplify reading large coin amounts across your inventory and money pouch.
- Money Pouch Rescale: Money pouch values are being scaled down so that accounts sitting around 50 Octillion (OCT) will now reflect as 50 Trillion Coins.
- QT Coin Conversion: The current 1QT Coin now functions as the 1M CryptX Coin.
- T Coin Conversion: The current T Coin will become the standard Regular CryptX Coin.
- Retired Coins: The old Regular CryptX Coin and 1M Coin are completely discontinued—their functionality and use have been fully disabled.
